QSI Announces The QTERM®-R55 — BASIC Programmable Operator Interface Terminal.
Salt Lake City, Utah. 05 December 1999. The QTERM-R55 BASIC Programmable Operator Interface Terminal offers a simple, but powerful, BASIC programming language capable of conditional execution, looping, string manipulation, data storage, diverse arithmetic operations and complete control over the terminal hardware and software.
The QTERM-R55 is available in three housings to accommodate most needs. All units include 512 Kbytes of nonvolatile flash memory, 256 Kbytes for user program and data storage (1024 / 768 optional); a switching regulator (8 to 32 VDC); 24- or 40-key keypad with software-controlled shift and status LEDs and choice of EIA-232, EIA-422 or 5-volt Buffered serial interfaces.
The handheld and small panel-mount units meet NEMA-12/13 requirements and use a lighted, supertwist, 4 × 20 display. A wide-temperature LCD display of vacuum-fluorescent display (VFD) is available as an option. The large panel-mount unit meets NEMA-4 requirements and uses a large-character, lighted, 4 × 20 LCD display. A secondary serial port and real-time clock are available as options on all units.
