QSI Announces The QTERM®-W85 — Industrial Computer Running Windows® CE Operating System.
Salt Lake City, Utah. 08 December 1999. The QTERM-W85 Industrial Computer runs the Windows® CE operating system. Based on the MIPS core, the QTERM-W85 is engineered to run cooler, with less power, and to take advantage of Windows CE's simplicity and power. The user can run off-the-shelf software or write his/her own programs using familiar languages including Microsoft® C++, J++ and Visual Basic.
The QTERM-W85 uses a bright 640 × 480 lighted, active matrix, color LCD display which is viewable in many operating environments. Interaction with the unit occurs via a resistive touch screen which extends beyond the display area for placement of your soft keys, a standard PC keyboard and/or a mouse. 16 Mbytes of DRAM memory and 8 Mbytes compact flash for programs, data and the operating system are standard; 32 Mbytes and 16 or 48 Mbyte options are available, respectively. The unit includes two EIA-232 serial ports and one parallel port. Type III and Type II PCMCIA peripheral slots are available for use with a variety of peripherals. Full-color customization of the key and logo legend is also available.
